Abbamele is a honey-based product from the rural culture of Sardinia (Italy). Abbamele is an old traditional Sardinian food made by pressing honey combs after the honey is extracted and flavoring the reduction with orange peel.
The resulting abbamele has a concentrated honey flavour, and can be eaten with cheese, fresh fruit or even pasta or vegetables.
